What's new for 2019 beE?

New for the 2019 beE – a specially developed hands-on curriculum to support teachers as they prepare their teams. The curriculum has been designed by Dr. Valentina Iscaro, who received her Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli (Italy). Dr. Iscaro has served as a Research Scholar at the Wharton School of Business’ Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center, and currently teaches at UAH and Alabama A&M.

Another exciting change for the 2019 beE is the venue. The new Invention to Innovation Center (I2C), adjacent to the College of Business at UAH, is a regional hub for the commercialization of technology-based ventures through incubation, co-working, mentorship, funding, and strategic support. The I2C’s 45,000 square feet combine shared workspaces, co-working communities and collaborative co-creation, making it the perfect venue to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.

In addition to the exciting changes mentioned above, we will continue to have mentorship over a period of a few weeks leading up to the final, and workshops at the final event for competing and non-competing students.
